Have you been "Saving Our Scraps"? Perhaps it's time to "Sew Our Scraps"!
Join us for a fun filled scrap themed retreat. You'll get to take a class from one of two instructors and each project will have you dive into your scrap bin. The rest of the weekend you get to work on your own projects.
September 10-12, 2021 at the Drury Inn & Suites in Colorado Springs, CO. Beautiful mountain views and the company of fellow quilters. What more could you ask for?
Who are the instructors?
We have two great instructors lined up. Penni Domikis of Cabin In The Woods Quilters and Beth Helfter of EvaPaige Quilt Designs. I have known both of these ladies for many years and I can guarantee you'll enjoy your weekend with us!
We have not nailed down the details of specific class projects just yet (and you don't need to decide that right away!) but you can check out these two great ladies.
Penni Domikis, Cabin In The Woods Quilters
Penni is the Scrap Queen. She has written several books on scraps and also lectures and teaches about how to turn your scrap bin into wonderful quilts. You can check Penni out on her website.
Beth Helfter, EvaPaige Quilt Designs
Beth is the inventor of the Accordion Sewn Half Square Triangle method. She has written several books, lectures and teaches internationally and is one busy lady. Beth will inspire you in a relaxed environment while showing you that perfection is overrated! You can see more about her on her website.
Beth will be showing how to make All My Exes quilt using her Accordion Sewn HST method. You'll never sew half square triangles the "old" way again!
What do I get for the money?

Sounds great, I would love to go...what next?
Register early. Space is limited (15 quilters minimum). A deposit of $150.00 is required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due two months before the retreat. Just give us a phone call or email to get started.
headmoose "@" purplemoosedesigns "dot" com
Purple Moose Designs reserves the right to cancel three weeks prior if there are not a minimum of 15 quilters registered. Full refunds would be issued. There will be no refunds if R&R is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control such as the weather or the moon crashing into the earth...stuff like that. If you should need to cancel your spot for any reason after the last deadline, your deposit will be forfeited unless your spot can be filled.
Have more questions?
For many of our instructors, we have to secure them 2-3 years in advance. Once we have an instructor we start taking names for the pre-registration list. It costs nothing to be on that list, just add your name and email. Once prices and class info are determined then that list gets the first crack at securing a spot in the class. If there are spaces left then it goes to our newsletter folks. Finally, it is offered to the general public.
Once you have been registered you will be invited to join our private online chat group. This makes it really easy for me to update you quickly and give you any needed information such as supply list, games, block swaps, etc. You can also get to know some of your other classmates.
If you would like to have a roomie but don't have a friend that can join you, we will do our best to hook you up with someone else in the same situation.
If you are flying in and would prefer to not bring your machine (or you're driving and just want to try a new one!) no worries. Machines are available to rent for a nominal fee. We will make all the arrangements for you.
We do have guest instructors but the class is only one day. The rest of the time is free-sew to work on whatever you want.
Well...I say don't choose, attend them all! If you attend any two or more of our retreats in any calendar year then you get $50 off each one. Is that cool or what?
