Roxanne Needles

Roxanne needles are handmade in England to precise specifications. Each needle is painstakingly shaped to a gentle taper, highly polished and then carefully nickel plated to give a discerning hand quilter ultimate control over the quilting stitch. The betweens, sharps and applique needles come 50 to a tube. Yup, you read that right, 50 needles! The basting needles come 10 to a tube. Each tube is topped with a cute little seashell. No sense not having your tools sitting around without looking pretty!

John James Needles

Milliners needles (or straw needles) are my absolute favorite for doing the final hand sewing of the binding. They are long and thin and make quick work of a task not many people enjoy. The eye is tiny on these though so be sure you have a needle threader handy! You can find ours listed below.

Needle Threaders

The older I get, the more I need these. The more I use them, the more I break the thin wire. The fancy ones are very pretty to look at but (in my humble opinion) break just as easy as the inexpensive ones! These may be cheap but they get the job done.

If you would like something a little nicer looking than the above threaders but still don't want to spend a fortune then give these a try. Made and packaged in the USA by the Roxanne company. This threader has a thin plastic "handle" (approximately 3/4" X 1") with the wire embedded in it. Very easy to grasp and a super thin wire, which was very hard to photograph!
