Why a Purple Moose?

I often get asked about our purple moose and what it "means". When I was trying to decide on a company name I wanted to find something unique and different. While pondering this, a moose happened by and I thought what a wonderful animal. A moose is one of the few creatures that is so regal and dorky at the same time.....that's it - I'm a moose! Purple is one of my favorite colors - so there ya go - a purple moose is born!

Our Moose Mission

Our mission is to provide accurate and detailed patterns for quilters everywhere. We also strive to provide hard-to-find notions and tools along with standard notions at great prices. We also wish to become independently wealthy in the process. O.K., so maybe we won't become independently wealthy anytime soon, but we're having lots of fun!!

Moose Profile

My name is Terri Sontra (aka Head Moose) and I have been quilting since the early 80's and professionally designing my own quilt patterns since 1996. I pride myself on the accuracy of the patterns. All of my patterns are tested by independent quilters to weed out any errors or problems so you can complete your project without any pesky delays. The beginner patterns are quick-to-finish designs so the beginner will feel a sense of accomplishment yet flexible enough for the more advanced quilter to enjoy also. My hubby Craig (aka Moose Support) is my resident computer expert and handles the technical end of the business. My daughter Danielle (aka Moose in Training) offers me a bolt of inspiration whenever I get stuck! Together we live and work in the heart of New Hampshire!

Ordering

USA ORDERS: You may place your order on our website by either Visa/MasterCard or PayPal. Your order will usually ship the next business day - sometimes even the same day if you get it in early enough! If you prefer to send a check, e-mail us first so we can figure the shipping amount for you, mail us the check. then we'll ship out your order once your check arrives.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Please e-mail us first so we can figure your shipping amount as every country is different.

Shipping Information - USA

We try and ship USPS Priority Mail whenever possible. This is the fastest, most economical, reliable, and trackable shipping method available. Since they provide all the boxes we are able to save money and pass those savings on to you. Obviously, if you order a couple of packs of needles, we won't use Priority Mail, we will send it regular first-class mail....unless, of course, you need them really fast! You can select your preference in the shopping cart during checkout.

Shipping Information - International

We try and ship USPS Global Priority or Global Express Mail whenever possible. This is the fastest, most economical, and reliable shipping method available. Since they provide all the boxes we are able to save money and pass those savings on to you. Shipping rates vary depending on your country. If you are out of the USA and wish to order something, please e-mail us to request shipping quotes.

I strongly dislike spam. I strongly dislike junk mail, both e-mail and paper versions. Any information you give to us will NEVER be sold, rented, bartered, auctioned or given away for any reason - except to ship your items to you. That's a guarantee, I promise!
